A. Functional Duties
As a cleaner working across various sites, your responsibilities will vary based on site scope of work. However, your general duties will include but are not limited to these:
General Cleaning Tasks: Performing daily tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming; emptying trash; and maintaining restroom & cleaner’s room cleanliness.
Site Protocol: Ensure sign in and out daily upon entry and exit without fail. Strictly adhere to site cash counting rules, ensuring exit doors remain closed while cash is being handled.
Surface and Fixture Care: Cleaning glass windows, doors and walls; wiping clean and polishing all metal hardware fixtures and other bright work; and dusting all switch boards and directory boards as per scope.
Specialized Cleaning: Sanitizing surfaces, properly cleaning and buffing tile floor surfaces as needed, and selecting appropriate cleaning agents to remove stains effectively.
Supply Management: Monitoring and promptly reporting any shortages in cleaning supplies and replenishing toiletries (toilet paper, paper towels, hand wash, etc.) as per site specifications
Chemical Safety: Using chemicals and solvents safely and strictly adhering to all health and safety guidelines. This includes strictly adhering to color-coding procedures for cleaning equipment.
Reporting: Documenting and reporting major or critical incidents at the site and submitting incident reports to HR through your supervisor. Also, reporting broken or hazardous items immediately for repair or replacement.
B. Site Security, Keys, Alarm Codes & Phone usage Protocol
The following protocols ensure the security and integrity of the site and compliance with operational standards:
Door Security: Ensure the entry door is securely locked immediately upon entering and again when exiting. Regarding site access: do not bring unauthorized persons or friends onto the site, and do not open the door for anyone unless you have explicit permission from your supervisor.
Phone Use: The use of headphones for music or calls while cleaning is prohibited. If you must pick a call, stop working; resume work only when you are done.
Keys and Alarm Codes:
You must be responsible for all assigned site keys and alarm codes and must not lose any keys or misuse the code (Sharing the code or using it for unauthorized access)
You must submit all site keys immediately upon commencing any leave or ceasing work.
Lost and Found Items: If any item is found during cleaning:
Do not remove the item from the building or premises.
Place the item on the bar, directly in front of the camera.
Write a note detailing the date, time and where the item was found, and leave it next to the item.
Take a picture of the note and the item in the same frame and send it immediately to the supervisor.
Compliance: Failure to adhere to these protocols may result in a penalty as outlined in the company Code of Conduct.
